Which?
Webtrader approval for Harlequins Clients 20th May 2002
|
 |
|
 |
Two of our first
E-Commerce customers Whats
New Gifts UK, and Little
Gems Rockshop of Cromer, have now received Approval from Which?
the UK consumer watchdog. This is excellent news for Whats
New and Little Gems as it gives a high degree of confidence to
their customers new and old shopping on their Websites.
It is also excellent news for Harlequin to have our e-commerce
Websites recognised by Which? as 100% secure and consumer friendly.
All companies can apply for Which? Webtrader status, however only
2400 websites so far have been approved.
Membership of the scheme is completely free, and with Actinic
Software being pre-approved after rigorous testing by Which?,
we need only ensure that certain criteria is met regarding the
information you display about yourself as a company. ( opening
hours, phone numbers, address, complaint policies, refund policies
etc.)
Our question is, "In an industry where the consumer
is still very concerned about security and legitimacy of Shopping
Websites in general, would you like your next website to be built
to this standard?" Call 0800 0832077 for details.

Broadband
ADSL - Cheaper than BT ! 20th May 2002
|
Broadband ADSL 512k connections are
finally here with affordable costs. Due to a fantastic deal with a
major UK hardware supplier and a major Telecomms provider, Harlequin can
now supply Broadband ADSL cheaper than British Telecom , the bigest player
in the UK Broadband industry!
The major benefits of the package we offer include:
Three month contract - As better offers become available you are
not tied into a yearly contract and can switch broadband provider as easily
as switching a dial-up provider.
PCI Modem or External USB - The choice is yours. Both work exactly
the same but connect to your computer differently.
The PCI Modem is an internal modem and is the same difficulty level
to install as a graphics card or indeed a normal modem. This has the obvious
benefits of having less external wires and equipment, but requires knowledge
of installing PCI Cards. It is also usually the cheaper option with PCI
card ADSL modems starting at £70+vat. (This option is not available
from BT (20th May 2002)
The External Modem option is usually more expensive and starts
at £115+vat for the modem, and connects to your computer via a simple
USB connection.
Both ADSL Modems allow you to connect to the internet at over 10 times
the speed of a standard dial-up modem and amazingly allow you to still
use your telephone line as normal. To do this you need a special filter
for each phone you have on the line, these we can supply for £10
+vat each which again is cheaper than BT.
NO connection fee for Home ADSL and
£23 incl. vat per month for 24/7 Access. (BT-£30 incl. vat)
£60+ vat connection fee for Business ADSL and £25.00 +vat
per month for 24/7 Access. (BT - £30+vat)
As usual, we offer freephone support with all our products, call 0800
0832077 for further details and to check availability in your area.
